Aluminum formwork (“AL – FORM”) is used to create various types of concrete structures for architectural framing. Drawing inspiration from the cyclical process of 'Production – Rental – Repair – Dissolution – Reproduction,' Niceworkshop designed a unique space for Goldwin, incorporating Format's aluminum formwork repurposed from construction sites.
‘AL-FORM’ used in construction sites is reused after removing surface concrete debris through several processes. Niceworkshop completed a temporary space design using used formwork, belts that fix the formwork, and wood supports used when moving the formwork. The installation elements are assembled using only hardware, without drilling or altering, and are used for three weeks before being returned to the construction site to resume their original function.
